INICIAÇÃO by BCN
"Iniciação" proposes to revisit the genesis of the Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte, its mission and the professionals who attended its construction. The title refers simultaneously to the ritualistic practices of the beginning and/or passage, but also to the pedagogical processes of introductory transmission of knowledge. But more than cataloging 25 years of production, "Iniciação" intends (re)think the future of a company through the (re)activation of the memory of its impulse and its initial passions. Led by company founder Elisa Worm (n. 1939), "Iniciação" invests in nostalgic and sensitive territory, but also paradoxical, making co-inhabit documentary and poetic objects, real and fictional discourses, past and future in a parallel dramaturgy and perpendicular to the time presented on stage. A return to a time, misty in time, which was made of intense and continuous relationships, in reaction to this freelance/fast-food entrepreneurship that appropriated contemporary artistic practices. Also the symbolic inauguration of a new cycle for the Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte, built by its habitual collaborators and accompaniers.
